    Cool choices!

Have you heard "Mina Loy" yet? That's my most favourite Billy Corgan song at the moment!

    Jennie,
Haven't heard "Mina Loy" yet. I'll check it out later.

By the way, ' been months since I was seeing at Chapters bookstore Billy Corgan's published poetry book. I might get it when budget permits me.

    Ivy,
Yup. Actually, The Smashing Pumpkins' version of "Landslide" was the first one I heard, over the original by Fleetwood Mac. I have now both copies, which are equally passionate songs.

I have also the penchant to download both remakes and originals of particular songs.

I'm glad "Cool" is also cool there.

    Fantastic!

You might want to get your hands on his cover of "To Love Somebody". Guess who's doing the backing vocals? >CoughRobertSmithCough<

    Jennie,
Wow, I am yet to have a copy of that song. I'll look for it tomorrow. Thanks, as always.

    Steven,
Right you are! "Radical" is by House of Beth, a Philippine band. Just sharing a bit of trivia. Before joining my band Half Life Half Death in 1991, to replace our original drummer who had to go to the US, bandmate Bimbo Ballesteros was a drummer for House of Beth's live gigs. The drum tracks for House of Beth's recorded songs were programmed on synthesizers.

I'll send you an MP3 copy tomorrow.

By the way, I suppose you're the same Steven who sent me a very heartwarming e-mail, aren't you? I have a reply, of course, which I'd be sending tomorrow too.

Yes, I do swear on the Jewels of Feanor: I am an eLf. ;-)

    Steven,
I'm unsure anymore if that version was the one NU 107 used to play back then. I have another version though (entitled "Radical II"), I'll send it tomorrow along with two songs by my band.

You must haven't heard of us, because, admittedly, we began gigging in the late '80s, but we got to record our songs and released an album already in 1995, during the resurgence of band music in the Philippines as triggered by Eraserheads (thanks to them).

super! thanks aLfie. that's very kind of you. i suppose if the artist himself gives you an mp3 of his songs it's not considered piracy, right? nakunsyensya pa! hehehe

Piracy? Certainly not. Besides, no music enthusiast, I think, can afford to buy all the records that she likes to own. She would, one way or another, purchase as much as she could and then copy or download the rest. ;-)
