The scent of the grasses
The colors of the flowers
The whirr of airplanes regularly flying by
The kiss of the nether gales
The very slow gait of this 89-year-old friend of mine
I feel like sitting under that big bonsai-like tree
And weaving a couple of haiku
In ode to my reflective Summer days
In British Columbia, the Canadian province where I am
And all these images would someday surely
